See lots of ‘smiley’ face dominated the comment which means she did something right for the market.
However, look closer on the negative comment. I skimmed through it and most was written in English which indicated a localization of the target group, implying its staying power unless it gains heft by expanding significantly fast. But, it’s a good start, particularly from Singapore which tries to open up the international market via its ‘homegrown’ products as far back as boasting its chicken rice in yesteryear as the best (I don’t agree though and like Thai version much more)

I would trade cake from this shop with any decent bakery in Bangkok and the US all the time.

The interesting thing is that the shop looks like “jail” to me and it keeps on expanding. So, chocolate cake from a jail. Guess it hit the right spot for some and it might be a good business model.
