I had Panama Carmen Estate long time ago but not this lot and not microlot.

It was good but not great so much so I prefer any generic Nicaraguan more.

Also, I don’t think it’s fair to compare Carmen estate to Esmeralda as the latter is from Geisha while the former is not. I haven’t had the Esmeralda but I think it shouldn’t share much in common even it grows in the sam area?

Just my 2 cents

I just had Nicaraguan today. It’s very interesting. I’ve found it well balance ,low acid with nice body, sweet fruite subtle wiht tobacco.

I roasted slightly darker and tried as SO espresso. The cup was very nice , smooth , balance very easy to drink. The aftertaste was like brandy.

I’m not sure this would represent generic Nic. or not. It’s my first time with this coffee.

Wow! Which Nicaraguan you had? Mine is generic peaberry from Matagalpa regions and la esperenza, the latter my favorite and complex coffee

See Sweetmarias.com comment on the bean which I agree.
